workshops
YAQ’s industry workshop program aims to build knowledge, skills and capacity across the industry through current, practical professional development training. The program is specifically targeted at emerging, established and senior practitioners and organisations across Queensland working in various capacities with young people in the arts and creative industries.
The industry workshop program is being developed in ongoing consultation with the industry and community to ensure that it meets stakeholders’ needs. Topics range from business development – business planning, evaluation, financial monitoring, marketing; to context – working with children in a performing arts context, workshop development for schools; and artform specific focuses – such as trends in theatre for, by and with young people.
YAQ aims to develop an accompanying resource for each workshop delivery that is freely accessible on our resources section.
Previous industry workshops include:
- Industry information session and morning tea
‘Student internship opportunities in the arts and not-for profit industries’
Presented in partnership with the QUT Creative Industries Transitions Program. There are no workshop notes available for the session. - Evaluation workshops for arts organisations
Facilitated by Fieldworx, this workshop provided an introduction to evaluation methodologies on an organisational level. Workshop notes are available.
